Domestic violence is a form of abuse that often involves a spouse or partner, but it can also be directed towards a child, older adult, or other family member.\u00a0October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month<\/a>, and the National Library of Medicine has domestic violence prevention resources available for the general public and special populations, such as older adults, children\/teens, non-English speakers, and individuals who are HIV positive:<\/p>\n
