Still looking for that perfect Thanksgiving dish?\u00a0 Holiday dessert?\u00a0 Appetizer to try during a virtual office event?\u00a0 Or perhaps you are tired of making banana or sourdough bread?\u00a0 Drop that phone, cancel your GrubHub order!\u00a0 The HS\/HSL is here to help!\u00a0 In November 1984 the staff of what was then the Health Sciences Library produced their very own Cookbook.<\/p>\n

Organized like many professionally published cookbooks, the volume includes appetizers, soups, and salads; main courses; side dishes; and of course, plenty of desserts contributed by library staff members.\u00a0 If you have in fact tried all of the internet\u2019s sourdough bread recipes maybe it is time to try Systems and Automation Librarian, Gary Freiburger\u2019s, \u201cDilly Bread.\u201d<\/p>\n

Got a craving for cheesecake? The HSL\u2019s Cookbook has that covered!\u00a0 There are five cheesecake recipes available to try.\u00a0 Which one will be your favorite?\u00a0 Perhaps it will be Patty Hinegardner\u2019s no-bake \u201cCheese Cake.\u201d\u00a0 If you try it make sure you let the current Associate Director of Resources know what you thought of her creation \u2013 that’s right Patty is still a big part of the HS\/HSL team!<\/p>\n

Perhaps you want to bring a bit of the tropics to your holiday table.\u00a0 Again, this cookbook saves the day with two Pina Colada recipes \u2013 a pie by School of Medicine Liaison Librarian, Paula Raimondo and a cake\u2014complete with dark rum\u2014by Access Services staff member, Loie Heimbach!<\/p>\n

As the weather turns colder and the winter months arrive, maybe it\u2019s time for a new soup recipe?\u00a0 Try Mary Ann Williams\u2019 Cream of Crab Soup.\u00a0 Mary Ann, the current Research, Education & Outreach Librarian for the School of Dentistry would be thrilled to see her recipe\u2019s used by today\u2019s UMB campus members!\u00a0<\/p>\n
