Weise Gallery is located on the first floor of the Health Sciences and Human Services Library (HSHSL) at University of Maryland, Baltimore.\u00a0 Since its opening in 2003, the gallery has hosted both individual and group shows featuring local and national artists.\u00a0 Mediums include photographs, paintings, drawings, sculptures, mixed media pieces, and traveling exhibits from institutions such as the National Library of Medicine, Smithsonian\u2019s National Museum of Natural History, and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.\u00a0 Baltimore schools have also collaborated with the HSHSL to show student artwork in the Weise Gallery.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5edc331 Weise, former executive director of the HSHSL and an accomplished photographer.\u00a0 As director, Frieda had a vision for the Library: that it should serve as a community resource and a gathering place, inviting diverse communities from UMB and beyond.\u00a0 And as an experienced photographer, Frieda noticed that the first floor of the Library \u2212 with its ample wall space, bold architecture, and abundant natural light \u2212 was a perfect environment in which to view and appreciate art.<\/p><p>Frieda O.
