Nick Clulow

“But Always With a Great Attention”
October 30, 2005 – December 23, 2005

clulowThrough the end of the year, the Weise Gallery at the Human Services Library will feature the work of local fine arts painter, Nick Clulow. Clulow, who currently works at the Thurgood Marshall Law Library, describes his work as a “love of light, of places and objects, and the myriad responses they provoke.” His paintings are small scale and of ordinary scenarios. In Clulow’s biography it says, “His paintings are meditations concocted either with meticulous patience or with a speed and intensity, but always with a great attention.”

Clulow says he comes from “an eccentric and close-knit family in the small town of Pasadena, Maryland, USA.” He pursued an education in painting at the Maryland Institute, College of Art.

There will be a celebration of the opening of the exhibit on November 11 from 7:00-9:00pm. Light refreshments will be served.
