Current Role at UMB

Dennis Nangle serves as Assistant Dean for Resource Development and Access at the Health Sciences and Human Services Library (HSHSL), University of Maryland, Baltimore. In this role, he leads a dynamic division encompassing Collection Management and Sharing, Historical Collections, and Repository and Metadata Management. His work advances the library’s mission to support UMB’s academic, clinical, and research excellence by overseeing the strategic development, management, and discovery of HSHSL’s physical and digital collections. Dennis champions initiatives that enhance equitable access to information resources across UMB’s seven professional schools and strengthens the visibility and long-term preservation of UMB’s scholarly and institutional legacy.
