April 2022 marks Celebrate Diversity Month. In an effort to recognize the things that make each member of our campus unique, the HSHSL is seeking photograph submissions of something of cultural significance to you. Culture is broadly defined as encompassing the social behavior and norms found in human societies, as well as the knowledge, beliefs, arts, laws, customs, capabilities, and habits of individuals. Photographs for the exhibit should be of one item that best represents your culture. The item in the photograph can be a recipe, a book, a piece of art, food, creative work, clothing, a musical piece, an instrument, a textile, or anything of cultural significance.
Submissions should be in the form of a photograph and a paragraph describing its importance to you. Photographs must be at least 1200 x 1200 pixels. Multiple submissions are welcome. Submissions can be made anonymously by leaving the name and email fields on the form blank. Looking for inspiration? Check out our Blog for examples from the HSHSL.
Be bold and creative! We look forward to your submission!
