Contact your school's librarian to explore learning opportunities for your students.
Librarians can provide guest lectures or training sessions for your students. Topics include searching the literature for evidence, managing references using Zotero, and more advanced skills such as publication strategies. Contact your librarian to plan and schedule a session.
Invite a librarian to your Blackboard course to facilitate direct communication with students. We can host a discussion board to answer students’ questions, and/or add relevant links and resources to course pages.
Short video tutorials can supplement your course material and are easily embedded within Blackboard. Topics include finding literature for research assignments, managing references with citation managers, and using library resources. Use an existing tutorial or contact your librarian to request a new one.
We can work with you to create a guide to using library resources for specific assignments or courses. See an example from the Pharmacy Abilities Lab
Meet with your librarian to discuss using course assignments to develop student skills in finding and evaluating evidence. Librarians can make suggestions to enhance existing assignments or help create new ones.
