“The Natural Visions Exhibit”
December 2003 – February 6, 2004

Health Science and Human Services Library Executive Director, Frieda O. Weise may be retiring on December 31 but at least until the end of January, library staff and patrons will be reminded of her through her photographic exhibit. Entitled “The Natural Visions Exhibit,” it showcases about 20 of Weise’ unique and beautiful photographs.

Weise says, “This exhibit is a sampling of my favorite photographs shot over the last year or so. Most of them are natural subjects that are quite ordinary, which I have tried to capture in a fresh way. Some were shot in backyards and local gardens, some in distant places. Each picture is a unique natural vision. I hope you enjoy them!”

All of the photos were made using a Nikon FM2 camera with various lenses and slide film. The slides were then scanned and digitized and printed. Framed photographs are $75 unless otherwise indicated. Unframed 8″x10″ are available for $40. Most of the photographs are also available as 4″x6″ cards at $5 each. Contact Weise at fweise@umaryland.edu
