The Innovation Space is designed for collaborative prototyping, learning, and experimentation. It offers consultations with a librarian, 3D printers and scanners, virtual reality gear, electronics kits, anatomical models, workshops, poster printing, a button maker, and more. All projects - big or small, professional or personal - are welcome. Commercial activities are limited. Other restrictions may apply (such as 3D print job time limits, etc.)
We encourage all UMB students, faculty, and staff interested in experimenting with 3D printing, 3D modeling, virtual reality, etc., to visit the Innovation Space. If you have any questions, suggestions, or ideas for collaboration, please contact us at ispace@hshsl.umaryland.edu.

Transform your idea into a physical object with 3D printing! Taz 5 supports a variety of materials from HIPS, PLA, and ABS, to wood, metal, and stone-like.
The N2 printer is best suited for projects that require higher resolution needs. Its smallest z-height layer resolution is 10 microns, and prints with PLA and other filament.
The Afinia H480 is a small but reliable 3D printer. It has one extruder and supports the PLA filament.

Print your posters for presentations at conferences and other meetings. Poster printing is available to all UMB faculty, students, and staff and University of Maryland Medical Center staff.
