February marks the celebration of a month long focus on Children’s Dental Health, while the month of March focuses on celebrating reading. Why not celebrate both at the same time! It is a perfect opportunity to use a new list of 22 recommended children’s books on oral health created by the Maryland Dental Action Coalition in conjunction with the Health Sciences & Human Services Library (HS/HSL). The book list supports increased access to oral health information for children, families and health professionals and provided guidance to those who purchase and utilize children’s books to promote oral health.  Click here to access the list.   Every book is available for check out at the HS/HSL!

The National Library of Medicine has released a new series of tutorials, specifically for nurses on how to search the literature in PubMed. Click here to view the tutorials.

The university’s OneCard system will undergo an upgrade to its software and hardware Monday, January 11^th-Wednesday, January 13^th. Due to this upgrade, printing in the library will be limited and only available on the first and second floors. To print from this floor during this time, select Commons Yellow Printer and Commons Blue Printer for print jobs to be sent to the first floor. You can also select Commons Red Printer or Commons Green Printer for jobs to be sent to the second floor. During this time you will not be prompted to enter a user name or password, print jobs will be done automatically and at no charge. We apologize for any inconvenience.
