Since 1983 the Health Sciences and Human Services Library has served as the headquarters for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine Southeastern/Atlantic Region. The HS/HSL has been awarded a cooperative agreement to continue in this capacity from 2016-2021. This agreement, worth over $6M, supports NIH’s National Library of Medicine health information outreach efforts over 10 southeastern states, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the District of Columbia, representing 25% of the U.S population. Additionally, the HS/HSL has been named the National DOCLINE Coordinating Office to facilitate resources sharing across the United States.
