A recent study in PLOS Medicine, ‘Epidemiology and reporting characteristics of systematic reviews of biomedical research: a cross-sectional study’ finds that the number of systematic reviews published between 2004 and 2014 has increased significantly. The study also found that quality of reviews, particularly in the conduct and reporting of reviews varies greatly.
