You may experience temporary interruptions in access to SAGE publications (10 to 15 minutes on average). If you have trouble, they advise to try again in 30 minutes. SAGE estimates the problem will be resolved by Saturday, September 8th.

ScienceDirect and Elsevier Journal titles will be unavailable beginning at 7:30 AM, Saturday August 25^th through 2:30 AM, Sunday August 26^th due to maintenance.

The Library will have special hours during the Grand Prix event and the Labor Day weekend.

The National Library of Medicine has recently launched its new NLM Mobile app. NLM Mobile serves as an authoritative guide to NLM Mobile resources including mobile webpages and apps. It is intended to help improve access to a variety of NLM resources including WISER, MedlinePlus, and PubMed Mobile. As part of a campus network core upgrade, there will be a network outage to the Internet of approximately 2 hours on Sunday, July 15th from 6AM-8AM.

Open access publisher BioMed Central, UK, and BGI, one of the world’s largest genomics institutes, have announced the launch of GigaScience, a new open access, open data journal with a scope that embraces all life science research that generates ‘big data’. Together GigaScience and its integrated database GigaDB provide scientific analyses, full dataset hosting, and access to the software tools used to conduct these analyses, along with publication of more traditional scientific articles describing the studies.
