HSHSL Resources
High Performance Computer (HPC) The HPC has state-of-the-art hardware and commercial and open source software for performing analysis of experimental data, such as scientific images, sequence reads, and flow cytometry files.

UMB Institute for Clinical & Translational Research (ICTR)
The UMB ICTR is a campus wide clinical translational research initiative supported by the UMB campus. The UMB ICTR provides financial support as well as infrastructure, environment, training, and workforce to invigorate, facilitate, and accelerate clinical translational research to improve patient and community health.
Genomics Resource Center (GRC)
Genomics Resource Center (GRC) is a high-throughput laboratory and data analysis group supporting the scientific programs of IGS and its collaborators, both across the University of Maryland Baltimore campus and across the globe. The GRC team has been an early-adopter and pioneer in genomic technology development for the past 25 years. Genomic technologies and applications now permeate both basic and clinical research. Using multiple sequencing and analysis platforms, the GRC generates high-quality genomic data in a cost-effective manner.
Informatics Resource Center (IRC)
The Informatics Resource Center (IRC) at IGS supports the bioinformatics activities by providing annotation and analysis of genomic data for internal and external projects, using state-of-the-art computational infrastructure. Often the IRC group works in combination with the Genomics Resource Center (GRC) to provide comprehensive analysis for projects.
UMSOM Office of Research Career Development (RCD)
The Office of Research Career Development (RCD) supports the research and professional development of SOM faculty, a diverse and accomplished group of physicians and scientists. Support for SOM faculty is available throughout their career progression, with an emphasis on supporting early stage faculty.

CIBR is the administrative hub for fee-for-service cores on campus, including the School of Dentistry, School of Pharmacy, and School of Medicine.
General Clinical Research Center (GCRC)
Located in the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC), 22 S. Greene St., 10th-floor C and D wings, the GCRC is supported by the UM School of Medicine and UMMC. The GCRC is available to all UMB researchers as a fee-for-service and supports the full spectrum of patient-oriented research, including pilot studies that may lead to peer-reviewed clinical research.

To assist researchers with best practices for their human subjects-related research and facilitate their regulatory compliance efforts, the Office of Research and Scholarship developed a Researcher Toolkit.
The Center for Information Technology Services' (CITS) Software Licensing Office
CITS provides enterprise pricing for software used at the desktop level. Examples of software available to researchers at volume discounts are Mathematica and ARCGis. For statistical analysis, SAS, SPSS and STATA are offered. In addition, antivirus software from Symantec, office productivity software from Microsoft, and presentation software from Adobe are available at reduced rates.
