Join Scholars for Recovery, USGA, URecFit and Wellness, the Student Counseling Center, and the Health Sciences and Human Services Library for a Halloween Happy Hour on Friday, Oct. 31, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the HSHSL’s Weise Gallery.
Wear your best costume, enjoy mocktails and refreshments, and play bingo for prizes. A costume contest will offer even more chances to win.
The library will set the mood with the 2013 Jim Jarmusch vampire film “Only Lovers Left Alive,” streaming with captions from the HSHSL’s new video database, Academic Video Online (AVON). Stop by to see how you can explore thousands of films, documentaries, and educational videos through AVON. Off-campus access requires login through the HSHSL proxy link.
While you’re here, check out the booktruck of spooky and mysterious reads from the Kinnard Leisure Reading Collection, perfect for a cozy, eerie night in.
To request an event accommodation, contact Amanda Breon (abreon@umaryland.edu) with as much notice as possible. Financial support for this event is provided by USGA.
