RefWorks will not be available between 10:00 – 11:00 pm on Thursday, August 4th.

Now there is a simple way to log-in to access HS/HSL’s electronic resources when you are off-campus. Just click the “Off-Campus Access” button in the upper right-hand corner of the Library’s homepage and you will be prompted to sign in with your UM id and password. You no longer have to do a search and select a resource to sign in .
The “Off-Campus Access” button only appears when you want to log in from off-site. While on Campus the system should recognize your IP address and let you access resources without logging in.
Due to critical system upgrades, the Library will experience intermittent resource outages the weekend of Saturday, August 6th – Sunday, August 7th. This may cause off-campus access to databases and journals to be down and affect signing into the library catalog and renewing books. Please call or email the Information Services Desk on Saturday, August 6th if you have any questions, 410-706-7996, hshsl@umaryland.edu. The HS/HSL will be closed Sunday, August 7th.
The HS/HSL offers poster printing to all UMB faculty, students, and staff and University of Maryland Medical Center staff. Posters will be printed in support of academic, professional, and research purposes.
All posters can be picked up at the Information Services Desk.

The ILLiad service used to order books and articles not owned by the HS/HSL is experiencing intermittent problems due to technical issues. OCLC is working on this and we will let you know when it is resolved.
The HS/HSL now has access to Nursing Reference Center. It provides evidence-based information for point of care, continuing education, nursing research and more. With NRC , nurses can get answers to questions quickly, strengthen their nursing skills and get access to many full text journal articles. Click here to access.
The HS/HSL will be closed Saturday, July 2nd through Monday, July 4th in observance of the 4th of July holiday. We will reopen on Tuesday, July 5th.
